It's for you. Really? What is?
I've often been concerned with representing or recreating three-dimensional space, or reducing it to two dimensions on paper or film – an essential act in drawing or photography and an age-old conceptual problem for artists. In design, modelling techniques include only those parameters of immediate concern; the model represents limited aspects of reality. Reality is too much. The Blondie track Hanging on the Telephone ran through my mind while working on this collage; I also had in mind their album cover for Parallel Lines. Perhaps more significant influences are Allen Jones' work c1968 La Sheer, A Matter of Fact and Barely There.
